Behind the Curtain

Making a stopmotion video using Joseph Campbell’s Monomyth as a guideline to build stories.

We all know what happens to Harry Potter and who’s Luke’s father. But we don’t know the secret that lies behind these stories. This Citizen lab introduces to it’s participants the “Hero’s Journey”, aka, monomyth. This concept was first introduced by Joseph Campbell in 1949 and it’s still used in these days to create successful stories for movies, books, etc. With the support of a camera, the audience will perform and “record” a story made by themselves regarding the previous concept. The result of this experience will be a stopmotion video.

All are welcome.

Participants should bring pen and paper.
