The chair is a universal object, a universe of stories. It is also a big part of Northern Portugal’s furniture industry.

Stories of Chairs wants to help reinvent and promote narratives around the chair industry, help the sharing of life stories, and bring people together through their creativity.

Stories of Chairs is a project about participation.  It wants to be creative in its content, and contributive in its purpose. Simple in its premise, and diverse in its outcomes. Serious in its mission, and fun in its process.

Content generated in this lab will be permanently exhibited in the Stories of Chairs project website, to be opened to the public at the futureplaces closing session, October 22.
