Essays

This is an archive of past and present critical and conceptual analysis of the various futureplaces editions, as well as their mottos.

Some essays have been previously published in our monograph editions ("I Am a Future Place", 2009, and "Calling All Futures", 2010), while others are exclusive to this website. Some essays reflect on the actual experience of the festival, while others dissect specific research or creative projects, and others still address wider social, cultural and technological issues.

In due time this section will evolve into a more dynamic interface, which will allow for further content intersection. For the time being, we wish you Happy Reading!
